WOORKING MEETINGS WITH INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION ACTORS


By developyng institutional synergies with Forum 2000 in the Czech Republic


We held a series of working meetings with Marketa Perestá, Project Coordinator at Forum 2000, with the objective of collaborating on the 28th edition of the Forum 2000 annual conference 28th Forum 2000 Conference | Forum 2000 which will be held in Prague. The 28th Forum 2000 Conference will take place in the Czech Republic from October 13th to 15th.


In collaboration with CESCOS and Global Solutions Initiative : Resumen | LinkedIn we are organizing a panel discussion entiltled “tensions and contradictions between the data age and the information (dis)society”.



Forum 2000 | Forum 2000 Forum 2000 | was founded in 1996 as a joint initiative of Czech President Václav Havel, Japanese philanthropist Yohei Sasakawa and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Elie Wiesel.


Forum 2000 conferences and other events organized by the Forum 2000 Foundation are held in Prague, Czech Republic. Since 1997, Forum 2000 has organized an annual conference that has attracted a number of prominent thought leaders, Nobel laureates, former and serving politicians, business leaders and others, whose common denominator is the experience of assuming high global responsibilities. Prince Hassan bin Talal, Yohei Sasakawa, Frederik Willem de Klerk, Bill Clinton, Oscar Arias Sanchez, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Henry Kissinger, Shimon Peres, Mario Soares, Hana Suchocká, Shirin Ebadi, Sergey Kovalyov, Nicholas Winton, Madeleine Albright and Wole Soyinka are just some of the prominent figures who have attended Forum 2000 events.


 

Strengthening EU-LATAM transnational cooperation with the Austrian Cooperation Agency


Together with Cristina Guevara de Frint, MBA | LinkedIn and other colleagues from The Global School for New Leadership we are collaborating with the VII Edition of the Latin America Leaders Awards (theglobal.school) 2024, to be held in December in Vienna, Austria.

On 2023 Center for Advocacy and Global Growth: Resumen | LinkedIn was awarded a Special Mention in the category of High Impact Social Innovation Ventures in this event that gathered more than 200 attendees from 13 countries and 10,000 online participants.


For this new edition 2024, we will co-organize a working panel to learn about and disseminate the main EU institutional funds, programs and projects aimed at financing actions of the 2030 Agenda in the 33 countries of the Latin American region.

For this purpose, we will bring together officials from different cooperation agencies, authorities of the European Commission in Brussels and program managers of the United Nations ecosystem in Geneva.

 

Collaboration with Third Term Learning to develop e-learning components in projects with communities in southern and southern Africa


We held a series of meetings with Heidi Lots and Magalí Verrengia at Third Term Learning: Resumen | LinkedIn offices in Brazil, Germany and the United States to learn about new e-learning formats and solutions required for the achievement and acceleration of the implementation of awareness and training strategies around SDGs 14, 16 and 17 in two projects we are implementing in Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa.



 

Digital transformation and sustainability programs in Madrid together with a FUNDACIÓN ORTEGA-MARAÑÓN y el Instituto de Investigación y Educación Económica


Together with Veronica Scutella | LinkedIn Director of Institutional Relations at the Institute for Research and Economic Education (I+E), and Ricardo García-Vegas | LinkedIn senior responsible for Research, Innovation and Transfer at the Instituto Universitario de Investigación Ortega - Marañón (IUIOM), we completed the content review of the new format of the international executive training and coaching programs for a total of 45 senior officials and public managers from Latin America and the Caribbean.


During the months of September and October, we will collaborate with the Institute for Research and Economic Education and the ORTEGA-MARAÑÓN FOUNDATION in Madrid, Spain with the second edition of the International Executive Program on Digital Transformation and Innovation.


The curriculum structure of the seminar includes theoretical content and case study experiences with officials from organizations responsible for designing and implementing plans to improve public policies and services supported by digitization processes.


 

Preparatory meetings for the Second Artificial Intelligence Forum in Vienna

In the meetings, we explored different options to involve as speakers leaders and specialists from social organizations and think tanks from the Global South, especially from Latin America and the Caribbean and Africa.


Some of the thematic axes of the second forum will be oriented to the analysis of the context of the official presentation of the new regulatory regulation of the European Union on the development and use of artificial intelligence technologies, the view of the Global South on the applicability gaps and regulatory gaps.
