CAGG, special guest participant in the “Dialogue on the Digital Future of Latin America and the Caribbean” at the Giga Connectivity Center in Switzerland

CAGG participated as a special guest in the "Dialogue on the Digital Future of Latin America and the Caribbean” on July 15 at the Giga Connectivity Center in Geneva, Switzerland.

The event was organized by Youth Democracy Network (YDN), an initiative under theCommunity of Democracies (CoD) that supports emerging leaders from more than 80 countries through regional groups, leadership development, and access to internationalpolitical forums. 

 The session is designed as a targeted, intergenerational, and multi-stakeholder exchange on youth inclusion in the context of an increasingly rapid digital transformation, with a special emphasis on how emerging technologies are redefining participation, skillsdevelopment, employability, and governance across the region, as well as on theincreasingly important role of young people as contributors to digital governance and public policy processes.

As the first step in a broader regional consultation process, the dialogue will bring togheter diverse stakeholders to exchange perspectives on the opportunities and challenges that digital transformation presents for young people across Latin Americaand the Caribbean. The discussion will help identify key themes, emerging priorities, and areas for collaboration to inform the design of a regional consultation with youngpeople across the region.

The dialogue is structured as a selective high-level discussion, facilitating a frank and solution-oriented exchange among stakeholders from different sectors, within a framework aligned with international policy debates and multilateral digital governance processes, designed to foster an in-depth, high-quality discussion among small of participants.

 The roundtable will convene approximately 16-20 curated participants, including senior representatives and youth leaders from governments and public institutions, international organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society organizations.
