From the ground up: Building a Regional Space Hub.
🚀 On behalf of the founding team of the Africa and Middle East Hub for Applied Space Technologies (AMEHAST), we thank all the delegates and partners who joined us for “From the Ground Up: Building a Regional Space Hub”, held on 21 and 22 October 2026 at the Mohammadia School of Engineers (EMI) in Rabat.
🌍 This gathering marked a historic step towards a shared, sovereign and collaborative space ecosystem across Africa and the Middle East.
🛰️ Over two days, partner-country delegations committed to joint satellite projects, where each country plays a part and learns by building. These projects will be supported by shared research infrastructure and hands-on training. Our international technology partners showed they are ready to work with us, and our bilateral discussions were rich and productive.
🙏 Our sincere thanks to EMI and Mohammed V University in Rabat for hosting us.
🤝 We look forward to keeping this momentum as we formalise new partnerships, advance our joint proposals and build AMEHAST together, from the ground up.
