Summary of Activities

Executive International Program: Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Public Sector

September, 25 th to 29th - 2023 - Madrid, Spain

40 hours

of theoretical and practical classes, including ten case analysis and immersive institutional visits. The program offers participants an unparalleled opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of seven successful digital transformation and innovation experiences in public and private organizations.

Attendees hailed from across by the iberoamerican region inclduing 22 senior public officials from Argentina,Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, and Spain. Organized by Institute of Economic Research and Training, the executive program was led by highly accomplished professors from the Ortega y Marañón Foundation.

On September 25 th to 29 th, we sponsored the International Executive Program Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Public Sector

 

The program was organized by the Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Public Sector Program of the Ortega y Gasset University of Madrid and Institute for Economic Education and Research

It has been seven fruitful days, forty hours of classes, case analysis and immersive institutional visits to learn in depth about a comprehensive approach to public management experiences. Together with high level officials from Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru and Spain, we examined and re-imagined real experiences of public and private innovation.

Networking meetings and

immersive institutional visits

We met with the highest authorities of the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence of the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transformation of the Government of Spain. We learned in depth about new management tools and recent experiences on digitization in business processes.

 

At the Organization of Ibero American States (OEI), we had a productive meeting with Andrés Delich, deputy secretary general, and the OEI team for international cooperation. We discussed strategies to enhance and scale the financing of digital innovation projects in the 22 countries of American region.

 

We met with the Secretary General of FIIAPP, Tobias Jung Altrogge, to discuss future joint collaborative actions in the cooperation projects that FIAPP is carrying out in 100 countries around the world.

 

We identified three priority areas of work: the European Union-Latin America cooperation agenda, the linking of think tanks with senior public officials, and the expansion of Ibero-American cooperation in public policy networks.

We also presented the policy brief prepared by CAGG and CIPPEC entitled “Public Data Governance in Argentina. Lessons learned for a successful digital transformation”. The meeting was attended by numerous national public officials and international cooperation specialists.

September 30 th to October 4th - 2024 - Madrid, Spain

of theoretical and practical classes, including fourteen case analysis and immersive institutional visits. The program offers participants an unparalleled opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of seven successful digital transformation and innovation experiences in public and private organizations

Executive International Program: Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation

November 17-21, 2025 - Madrid, Spain

35 hours

of theoretical classes

15 hours

of practical case studies and immersive institutional visits

We worked intensively for a week with 14 seniors managers and specialists from companies in Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. We addressed the new challenges of sustainability governance that will be faced with the green transition.

The 25 attendees came from different Ibero American countries, including senior public officials from Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, and Spain.

Organized by the Institute for Economic Research and Training, the executive program was taught by renowned professors from the Ortega y Marañón Foundation.

From November 17 to 21, we sponsored the third edition of the International Executive Program on AI and Digital Transformation.

The program was organized by the Public Sector Innovation and Digital Transformation Program at Ortega y Gasset University in Madrid, the Institute for Economic Education and Research, the Ortega y Gasset Institute in Mexico, Goberna Colombia.

The classes combine theoretical lessons in the classroom with the resolution of practical cases based on real experiences. The analytical content is complemented by visits to institutions and agencies different involved in technological cooperation and innovation, where participants will have the opportunity to learn about their operating and management models.

 

The teaching staff is composed of academics, specialists, and senior officials from the Spanish public sector.

 

Each participant is evaluated on the basis of a practical management proposal, which includes an improvement plan within a specific organizational context.
