💥 📢 Such a great meeting with international cooperation specialists and academic experts, where we reflected on the prospective scenarios for digital transformation policies and their impact on the agenda of artificial intelligence initiatives from a key perspective of Ibero-American governance.

🔂 🌎 We the support of the OEI - Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos we brought together officials from CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe- , CLAD - Centro Latinoamericano de Administración para el DesarrolloFIAPTransversal Think Tank Universidad de Buenos Aires Universidad de Guadalajara to analyze the intersection between triangular financing of digital transformation policies, the production of Ibero-American scientific knowledge, and the geopolitical context.

Some key points from the conversation:

📊 💰 - International cooperation funding is crucial for governments, universities, and think tanks, although it remains insufficient. It is essential to increase triangular cooperation mechanisms through working consortia.

👀 ⚠️ - Private sector involvement in the region is still limited but very relevant in this context. Its intervention involves significant challenges in terms of integrity and compliance. How can we achieve greater commitment from companies to promote social innovation?

🔂 🌎- Collaboration between the European Union (EU) and Latin America (LAC) is emerging as an alternative scenario in the face of disputes between the United States and China in the race for positioning and leadership in artificial intelligence

In terms of regulation and implementation, there is much to learn on both sides of the Atlantic.

‼️ 🔜 - Two major challenges lie ahead:

I - Identifying the particularities and heterogeneities of Latin American and European idiosyncrasies, in which Spain plays a key role

II- Assessing the challenges of coordination among the 19 countries that make up the Ibero-American region.
