At Center for Advocacy and Global Growth, we are honored to collaborate with a group of government agencies, international development cooperation agencies, and civil society organizations. Together, we will support the activities of the Amazon creative corridor Fundo do Festival Amazonas de Ópera at COP30 Brazil on November 11, 12, and 13.
The Conference of the Parties (COP) is a significant event for the United Nations, as it provides a global platform for discussions and negotiations on climate change.
In 2025, Brazil will have the honor of hosting the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30), which is to be held in Belém, in the state of Pará. The chosen city will offer the world a unique platform to discuss climate solutions, with roots firmly planted in the heart of the Amazon.
The COP30 Action Agenda COP30 Brasil Amazônia - English aspires to establish a framework that can mobilize all relevant actors and efforts to expedite the implementation of the previously negotiated outcomes, drawing upon the findings of the initial Global Stocktake (GST-1). The COP30 Presidency Brazilian Presidency is exploring the possibility of translating the results of the Global Stocktake into six major thematic areas and thirty key objectives, with the intention of fostering the implementation of multiple solutions.

The Amazon Creative Corridor – Amazon Creative Corridor – Fundo Festival Amazonas de Ópera was established in 2022 as a collaborative effort between the Secretariats of Culture and Creative Economy of the Brazilian states of Amazonas and Pará.
Beyond the exchange of productions and shows, the Amazon Creative Corridor has been said to promote research and the circulation of impact data among its members. The objective is to encourage structural initiatives for Amazonian cities through the establishment of a novel circular, creative, sustainable, and green economy that has the potential to accelerate urban development while ensuring the preservation of the rainforest.
Aligned with the Belém Declaration, the Corridor shares the commitments declared by the Amazon countries to fully protect the region, tackle poverty and inequalities, and promote sustainable development. By offering alternatives to predatory and/or illegal activities, the Corridor contributes to preserving the forest, tackling deforestation, and limiting climate change.
The Amazon Creative Corridor is an organizational force for the transformation and sustainable development of the Amazon region, and is fully aligned with the commitments of the Amazon Summit and the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization.
